Supporting Funny People.
DFCM offers tailored guidance and expertise both to current clients as well as for those wishing to develop, learn and hone their craft.
Your Bespoke Support sessions might look like this…
-
We delve into your work (scripted, recorded live material, showreels etc) and distill the threads of style, voice and tone that connect your work.
-
One of my favourite bits! We take a look at your role models and take a deep dive into Daisy’s big ol’ comedy nerd brain to find case studies of artists who we feel are similar and/or have carved out a significant space in our industry. We consider how they achieved this and where this leaves room for your unique art and mission.
-
Having discovered more about how we can describe your comic voice and where we see your art being performed and for whom, we can begin to put some stepping stones in place, looking at case studies and industry knowledge for guidance.
-
Now we look to ensure that everything we’ve discovered is evident throughout all of your output. From how you might write a bio or a blurb, to social media content and audience interaction.
Testimonials
“Daisy genuinely cares about the people she works with and she cares about doing things in the right way and that makes all the difference!”
“I have found Daisy a real pleasure to work with. She is engaging, knowledgeable, supportive, and really cares about the people she works with. It’s the person-centred values that first led me to contact Daisy, and that principle has been evident in every meeting I have had with her.”
“Daisy's organisation and insider know-how meant she provided me with an excellent document with prompts and recommendations for the next stages in my career. She is approachable and professional, catering to her client's personalities and personal goals.”
“Daisy’s bespoke support had been amazing! She combines approachable and engaging sessions with thorough research and industry experience. Her help has been invaluable - would thoroughly recommend to anyone interested!”
“The bespoke support that Daisy offers is rare. Having a professional make time for an initial chat was the first sign that here is someone who cares about nurturing creatives. The sessions were fun and incredibly helpful but what I couldn’t put a price on (and surprised me the most) was the sense of empowerment I was left with. Daisy gave me the tools, clarity and confidence needed to develop myself as an artist. If that doesn’t tempt you to book a session, I don’t know what will...”
“…helped no end in boosting my confidence…gave wicked tips on things I hadn't thought of. It was also just good to have something to aim towards - "right I've got this meeting with Daisy on this day, I need to get to work and do this". "
“As an aspiring writer, Daisy’s workshop on your future career has really helped me to understand who I am and what my voice is. She has also helped me to understand where I can go and what I need to get there. One of the elements I liked most about the workshop, is that it had a number of very practical activities and exercises to help me market myself, and to take the steps I need to get to where I eventually want to be.”
“Daisy’s script editing workshop on my sitcom was fantastic. Her knowledge of the comedy world was amazing, and she gave me lots of ideas, notes and thoughts about how to position the script and how to take it to the next level. After the session, I immediately was able to take steps to improve the script and I am really happy with the outcome. As usual her feedback is delivered in a charming, positive but honest way which motivates and improves you as a writer.”
“I was very lucky to have some sessions with Daisy, to discuss my career as an emerging performer debuting at the Fringe this year.
I really appreciated her thoughtful, step-by-step approach. She started cold - as an audience member would - to learn how I present myself in the world. From there, she gradually dug deeper into my work and process, offering advice that was clear, insightful, and - most importantly - honest. Her feedback helped me make both creative and practical decisions, which was especially valuable as I navigate this experience for the first time.
Daisy’s passion for comedy and deep knowledge of this world was impressive. Her guidance was instrumental in helping me think about how to position myself - not just within the current comedy landscape, but within the broader tradition of British comedy as well.
After our final session, the biggest thing I felt was: I’ve got this! Her encouragement and ideas played a huge part in giving me that confidence. Thank you, Daisy!”
